Example: Typically complete the landscape in the following order. Zone 1 is concerns with the present system. Zone 2 is the future ideal system. Zone 3 is where that is showing up already in inspirational practice. Zone 4 shows innovations already in play (some will support the first horizon, some will pave the way to something new). Zone 5 is the first horizon in the future, the features of the existing system that need to be carried through the transition, the ‘baby that must not be thrown out with the bathwater’.
